Meet Mariam

Mariam is one of two siblings at ALC, and her mother also works there as a support staff member. She’s a bright and hardworking student who takes her education seriously. Since starting ALC in 1st grade, she has always been among the top three students in her class with the highest grades. Last year in 7th grade, she had the highest grades of everyone in the first quarter. She’s also very proud of earning the student of the month award at least once each school year and for receiving perfect attendance awards every year since beginning school. Mariam’s favorite subject is English because it helps her communicate better. She dreams of becoming a Public Health Professional so she can support the poor and teach them about their health.She’s very active in the Pathfinder Club and Sabbath worship, and sometimes helps by translating from English to Arabic during services. She enjoys being at school not just because she loves learning, but also because she enjoys spending time with her friends and says her teachers are always kind to her.
