Meet Maram

Maram, an 8 year old Kurdish girl, loves learning English because it helps her become a good speaker and enables her to communicate with others. Her favorite time at ALC is during sports because she gets to gather with her friends and enjoy playing with them. In her free time, she enjoys drawing and coloring. She loves her family very much where she is the 3rd child out of four. She is especially close to her father, who does his best to always provide for them. She is very grateful to him. Last year during 1st grade her family made the decision to return to Syria after her father lost his job. Despite returning to the area they used to live, life was not any better so the family again returned to Lebanon where at least they can ensure they have food to eat each day. Despite missing the last 3 months of school, Maram is confident she can work hard and catch up to her peers.
