Meet Moataz

Moataz and his twin brother Mountaser have been at ALC for only one year. Despite knowing almost no English when he arrived in the winter of 2022, Moataz worked hard and finished the school year on the honor roll. Moataz also discovered that he has a skill for writing and won 3rd place for his story about taking turns during the 3rd and 4th grade writing competition.Moataz is one of six brothers although he and his twin are the only ones who are in school. His three older brothers all have 3-5 year lapses in education making entering school difficult. Which means as of today, Moataz is the highest educated person in his family. One day Moataz hopes to be an engineer.
