Meet Rose

Rose is a kind and creative girl. She has a big, loving family with five siblings. They are Kurdish and love sharing their culture with others. On holidays the family likes going to visit their extended family who live in refugee tents on the border of Syria and Lebanon. It’s not only a chance to see everyone, but a time to play outdoors in wide open spaces that are unlike the tiny city apartment Rose lives in. She likes to spend time with all her family and make people happy. Rose’s favorite subject is English. She wants to speak and write it well. She loves learning and wants to talk with confidence. Rose loves her school, ALC. She says it is the best place to learn and make friends. She likes to study, play, and loves her teachers very much. When Rose grows up, she wants to be a teacher. She looks up to her teachers and wants to help children like they help her.
